JD’s founder Richard Liu just said the quiet part out loud: “We won’t need delivery workers in the future. Robots will handle all deliveries.”

But here’s what makes this more than a headline. JD announced “Project Nirvana,” a plan to send its 700,000 delivery workers to 120 partner schools for technical retraining. The goal: turn them into robot maintenance technicians

Kalshi’s Harrison Shows Where the Next AI Trade Is Heading

AI agents need far more compute than chatbots — and that changes the winners

By Luke Lango

Agentic AI is shifting AI from one-off chatbot responses to always-on workflows that plan, act, check and revise.

Enterprise AI agents can consume far more inference compute than single-shot prompts, driving demand for chips, memory, networking, power and storage.

The biggest beneficiaries may be the infrastructure suppliers powering agentic AI: accelerators, custom silicon, HBM, optical connectivity, servers, and cooling.

Gartner estimates that agentic workflows consume 5-30x more tokens per task than single-shot generative queries.

Goldman Sachs sees the monthly token count for agentic AI applications reaching roughly 120 quadrillion by 2030.

Accelerators: Nvidia and AMD Power the Reasoning Loop
Networking and Custom Silicon: Lowering the Cost per Token; AVGO
Memory: The Bottleneck Behind Long-Context Agents; MU
Servers, Racks, and Power: The Always-On Agent Layer; Dell
Storage: Fast Retrieval for Enterprise AI Agents; Seagate
Optical Connectivity: The Overlooked Agentic AI Bottleneck; Corning

Trump Promised to Unshackle AI From Regulation. He's Now Building a Licensing Regime.

OpenAI just confirmed it's only releasing GPT-5.6 to government-vetted entities.

Anthropic suspended its flagship cybersecurity model for all users after the Commerce Department slapped it with export controls.

Meta is under pressure to submit to voluntary review. None of this fits the deregulatory AI agenda Trump campaigned on — and the reason is China.

Why the U.S. is worried about cybersecurity AI models falling into the wrong hands

How this de facto licensing regime could be worse for innovation than a formal one

Why Chinese open-weight models like GLM-5.2 are winning the developing world

What a dual-track system of public and restricted AI models means for your access

The stakes are enormous: China's best models are nearly matching U.S. cybersecurity
capabilities at half the cost, and the UK's AI Security Institute is the only non-U.S. entity cleared for GPT-5.6 access.

Every month U.S. frontier models stay locked behind ad hoc government reviews is a month China closes the gap and expands its foothold in Europe and beyond.

The AI trade is losing one of its key signals

An index tracking what users pay for AI tokens is down almost 20% from a high in May

“There are increasing reports that users of AI solutions, priced in tokens, are having to restrain unlimited use due to high costs”.

“The chatter that OpenAI is pushing back its initial public offering to next year is seen as a sign that, currently, profitability remains a problem.”
