<Warning> BASECARE-B (02170.HK) Expects Interim Loss to Narrow to Up to RMB73.5 million
BASECARE-B (02170.HK) issued a profit warning, expecting revenue for the six months ended end-Jun 2026 to range from approximately RMB126 million to RMB131 million, representing a YoY increase of approximately 24% to 29%.
Net loss is expected to narrow YoY by approximately 39.5% to 43.2% to around RMB69 million to RMB73.5 million.

The board believed the revenue growth during the period was mainly attributable to the group's further expansion in the pre-implantation genetic testing (PGT) market, forming core products with strong profitability.
Benefits from regulatory compliance and improved penetration rates drove strong revenue growth.
Gems culture medium obtained NMPA approval for commercialization, becoming another important product pipeline contributing stable revenue.
Revenue from overseas markets maintained steady growth during the reporting period, with growth in the Asia-Pacific region nearing 50%.
Alongside the continued increase in equipment installations and growth in sales of supporting consumables, the group's equipment and consumables businesses both achieved volume growth.
Meanwhile, the group's overseas product pipeline continued to expand.
In addition, the narrowing loss was mainly attributable to the substantial completion of registration and filing work for core products, leading to a corresponding decline in R&D investment as the group fully shifted its focus to commercialization.
With the continued advancement of overseas business and pipeline expansion, the overseas segment continued to improve in both revenue and profitability, becoming an important growth engine for the group.
As the group's revenue scale continued to expand and gross margin improved, together with ongoing refined management initiatives, the input-output efficiency of sales, administrative and R&D expenses continued to improve, supporting ongoing enhancement in operating conditions.
